What if all you had to do have healthy skin was to listen it better throughout the seasons ?

Have you ever noticed how our appetite decreases in summer ? Or how we’re more likely to sleep later in winter ? Our bodies live by the rhythm of the seasons, and the same goes for your skin, which is more likely to welcome a refreshingly textured skin care product in spring than in autumn.

But when bathrooms are satured with all kinds of beauty products, we tend to forget this natural flow, these seasonal cycles that send us messages every day. Here comes autumn and in a few months winter, we offer you two complete routines to take care of yourself.

Autumn : the immune system in focus

In autumn, we listen to ourselves and accept that the rythm slows down instead of going against the current in the tumult of the new year. We enter a period of introspection, of cocooning which will allow the body to regenerate after the dynamism of the summer.

The in&out routine for Autumn :

We opt for a more nourishing beauty routine with a serum + cream duo that we adapt to our skin type.

  1. New skin essence for all skin types looking for more anti-ageing and moisturising effectiveness.
  2. Bamboo tears for dehydrated skin.
  3. Comfort elixir for skin in need of radiance and nutrition.

We respect our cravings for more comforting meals with hot dishes enriched in vitamins and very nourishing root vegetables such as carrots, turnips, potatoes… and of course we welcome the first raclettes and tartiflettes :). we swap salt and sugar for spices that fight inflammation and naturally boost the metabolism, such as cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric or even ginger

We make the most of the last rays of sunshine by practising a sporting activity outdoors.

Winter : life in slow motion

Like hibernating animals, winter invites us to save our energy as much as possible. Above all, we take the time to rest and gently compensate for the hazards of the cold season.

The in&out routine for Winter :

  • We opt for richer textures and cocooning balms to keep our skin well hydrated and resistant to external agressions.
  • To wash, opt for a shower oil (coconut oil and tiare flower shower nectar), nourishing and soothing for the mind. The SPF is important because the UV rays continue to hurt the skin despite the clouds. If the skin is affected by the cold and UV rays, it can be extremely weakened.
  • We treat ourselves to everything nature has to offer : carrots, squashes, onions, sweet potatoes, potions… these orange foods are rich in vitamin A, ideal for keeping skin healthy in winter.
  • We eat less raw food and warm up with homemade dishes made from raw and seasonal products. Herbal teas are the best allies of the cold season to comfort the body and boost the immune system. Plants such as thyme and Rosemary have anti-infectious properties that help you get through the winter in good shape.
  • We try to go to bed earlier to help the body regerenate and give it all the tools it needs to fight the many agressions of winter. Favour gentle sports practices such as yoga, based on calm and relaxation that regenerates the whole body.
